Your are looking at the "Purple / Lavender Violet Opaline".

You might be looking at the only dark platinum opaline in the United States. Well, I think it is anyway. I might be wrong.

Hi, my name is Tom. Welcome to my bird farm. Thank you to everyone for visiting my webpage. I am located in Riverside California. This is the new home of the Opaline Peachface Mutation. I have been breeding lovbirds for quite sometimes. Thanks to my wife, Tiffany, for all of her supports. Without her, this would have not been possible. And thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way. Over the years, I have met many good people doing what I do. Some of them have become good friends of mine. Some are like brothers of mine. One person in particular has helped me a lot on how to breed lovebirds at the beginning. I like to thank Wayne for that. I also like to thank my little daughter who is now quite a good bird handler. And of course, thanks to everyone that has adopted birds from me. And thank you so much for recommending me to your friends and family members. Without all of you, I would not be able to breed these beautiful lovebirds and continue doing what I enjoy.

Before I get any further, anyone wondering about shipping, I do ship. Please click here for shipping informatiom. However, I only ship within the United States only.

These pictures are some of my breeder pairs. You can see some of the combinations that you can put together yourself. However, I do not sell my breeder pairs. These are just examples of some of what I have and that you can adopt your baby birds from me with confident. Mostly, I do not sell pairs over six months old.

I am a small hobbyist breeder of peachface lovebirds focusing on the Opaline mutation. My main focus is the blue violet opaline mutations "aka" turquoise violet opaline mutation. The blue series opaline are the hardest one to breed and understand. Just having a pair of violet opaline pair does not mean that the baby will come out violet opaline. The babies can come out any other blue series mutation including your normal seagreen opaline. It's very challenging and the main reason why I focus on this series more than any other series.

Now with the new color mutation showing up with the blue series, pricing them are harder than before because of the rarity of this series. If this is your first time or 100 times looking for opaline lovebirds, you know how expensive they are. If you are searching for the violet opaline series, well, this mutation is so hard to find and so expensive. Therefore, I suggest you do as much research on them as possible. Find out what prices are reasonable and what prices are just too expensive. You will find that I am probably not the cheapest and probably not too expensive either. However, I am more reasonable than most breeders and I am always trying to be as competitive as I can.

NAMING PEACHFACE LOVEBIRDS

For tons of breeders, naming the lovebirds are very difficult. American series, Australian series, edge dilute, lacewing, phallid and so on. Each group and organizations have their own names and description. Technically, there are only 2 series, the american series and the australian series. To some, naming and recognizing what they are is very important. To others like me, not so much. Here is a website belonging to the African Lovebird Society. NAMING PEACHFACING LOVEBIRDS . They are working together with the other lovebird organizations to come up with the right name for these birds. If you really care about naming them correctly, please visit them.

For anyone that stumble onto my webpage and have no idea about this new opaline lovebird mutation, please click on these two links and you might have some idea of what they are. It is not something you can pick up over night. It takes lots of reading and research and hopefully this will give you a head start.

I have seen many ad listings of the opaline lovebird mutation. Some may not be what they said they are. Some are not even opaline mutation. So, please just be very careful. Do your research before you get into it.

NORMAL PEACEFACE, DUTCH BLUES, LUTINOS

If you just want to get started on the basic birds like the green peachface, lutinos, green opaline, seagreen opaline, and some othe basic peachface lovebirds, I normally have them available most of the time. Please just check the for sale page for other birds. I normallly don't post all of the normal birds because they rotate too often. If you want to know more on pricing, please click on the color mutation page.

BREEDING FACILITY

All of my breeders are bred individual in an enclosed safety aviary with concreted floor, 1/2 plywood on the side, 1/2 screen mash, and metal bug screen to keep bugs away. All of this is to prevent mice and rats to enter into my aviary and bother my lovebirds. The bug screen, of course, is to prevent the mosquitos from entering into my aviary. And of course, I have 4 dogs running in my backyard. Hopefully, they would be enough deterent for anything else.
